Talacogon, Agusan Del Sur The Army’s 26th Infantry “Ever Onward” Battalion continues its collaboration to all Local Government Units (LGU) under its area of responsibility in fighting the CoViD19 crisis as it provides manpower and transportation assistance in the preparation and distribution of relief goods to all the affected communities.
Based on the Municipal Social Welfare and Development data, a total of 7,043 households in the municipality of Talacogon, 8,856 in La Paz and 849 in Esperanza received the said relief goods as initial food assistance from the LGUs mentioned while San Luis is targeting 3,300 households in their area.
Lt Col Romeo C Jimenea, commanding officer of 26IB lauded all the LGUs on their decisive efforts to provide the necessary needs of their constituents. He also commended all the troops, healthworkers and civilian frontliners involved, on their undying and untiring dedication in the call of service for the needy especially in battling CoViD19 crisis. “As we commemorate Araw ng Kagitingan today, may we include our modern heroes in giving them recognition for their selfless sacrifices in battling against an invisible enemy for the safety of the Filipinos”, Lt Col Jimenea said.
“To all the frontliners, including individuals who are still on duty in giving the needs of our fellowmen on this CoViD19 crisis, let us devote and dedicate our sacrifices to our country. May we continue to work jointly and support each other in battling this disease.Together, we will heal as one nation”, Lt Col Jimenea added.
